Last Updated: 16.09.2026

Introduction

Poise Studios ("Poise Studios," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting

the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we

collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to personal information we collect through our booking and membership app, our

website, and in the course of providing our studio services. We handle personal information in accordance

with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other

applicable privacy laws.

By using our app, website, or services, you agree to the collection and use of your personal information as

described in this policy

Who is responsible for your information

Poise Studios is the owner and operator of the business and is responsible for the personal information in

our control, including information processed on our behalf by the third-party app and service providers we

use.

If you have questions about this policy or your personal information, contact us using the details  at the end of this webpage

What personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Identity and contact information — your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.

• Account information — username, password, and profile details you provide in the app.

• Booking and attendance information — classes and sessions you book, attend, cancel, or waitlist;

membership or package status.

• Payment information — billing details needed to process payments. Payment card details are typically

handled directly by our payment processor and are not stored by us in full.

• Health and readiness information you choose to share — for example, injuries, physical limitations,

or notes relevant to your participation, where you provide these so we can deliver services safely.

• Communications — messages, feedback, and correspondence you send us.

• Technical and usage information — device type, app usage, and similar data collected automatically

when you use the app or website.

We collect only the personal information reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy.

How we collect your information

We collect personal information:

• Directly from you — when you create an account, book a class, sign a waiver, make a payment, or

contact us.

• Automatically — through the app and website as you use them.

• From our service providers — such as the app platform and payment processor acting on our behalf.

Why we collect and how we use your information

We use your personal information to:

• Create and manage your account and membership;

• Schedule, confirm, and manage class bookings, waitlists, and cancellations;

• Process payments and manage memberships or packages;

• Deliver our services safely and respond to your needs and requests;

• Communicate with you about bookings, schedule changes, and account matters;

• Send you administrative or, where you have consented, promotional messages;

• Maintain the security of our app and business;

• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We will not use your personal information for a new purpose without your consent, unless permitted or

required by law.

Consent

We collect, use, and disclose your personal information with your consent, except where the law permits or

requires otherwise. Your consent may be express (for example, when you agree to this policy or opt in to

marketing) or implied (for example, when you provide information to book a class).

You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable

notice. If you withdraw consent, we may be unable to provide certain services. To withdraw consent,

contact us

We do not sell or trade your information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise exchange your personal information for compensation. We

share personal information only as described in Section 8, and only as reasonably necessary.

When we share your information

We may share your personal information with:

• Service providers that perform functions on our behalf — including Mariana Tek, our booking and

membership platform, along with our payment processor and communication or hosting providers. These

providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us and are required to protect

it.

Legal and regulatory authorities where we are required or permitted to disclose information by law, to

comply with a legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of others.

• A successor entity in connection with a sale, merger, or reorganization of our business, subject to

appropriate confidentiality protections.

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside your province or outside Canada.

Where that is the case, your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We take

reasonable steps to ensure our providers protect your information.

Third-party app and platform

We use Mariana Tek to manage bookings, memberships, payments, and related services. When you use

our app or booking system, Mariana Tek may collect and process your information on our behalf and in

accordance with its own privacy practices. We encourage you to review Mariana Tek's privacy policy. We

remain responsible for the personal information handled on our behalf.

How we protect your information

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information

against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. These measures are appropriate to the

sensitivity of the information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we

cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to

provide our services, and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When personal information is

no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy, erase, or de-identify it.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;

• Request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete;

• Withdraw consent to certain uses of your information;

• Ask questions about our handling of your personal information.

To exercise these rights, contact us. We may need to verify your identity

before responding. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
